I Am Calm is an original youth watercolor created through a guided calming meditation followed by intuitive painting. Rather than focusing on outcome or technique, the artist was invited to slow the body, regulate the breath, and allow movement, color, and mark-making to emerge naturally from a grounded emotional state.
 
Soft washes of blue and green ripple gently across the paper, evoking water, breath, and steady rhythm. A centered spiral draws the eye inward, symbolizing grounding, self-regulation, and the return to center. Light, airy marks above suggest drifting thoughts—acknowledged but not held—while the handwritten affirmation “I am calm” anchors the piece in intentional presence and self-soothing.
